Recently we heard an interesting story about our friend and industry photographer Michael Lichter and how he ended up in a Wyoming Emergency room. Seems Michael has suffered two broken bones and a cut on his head (also some road rash we’re sure), due to falling off the back of the pickup he was traveling in while doing a photo shoot for Wiley X sunglasses. All indications point to safety gear failure. It hasn’t been confirmed yet but the speed at the time was purported to be around 45 to 50 mph and Michael is expect to make a full recovery. Overall the group was barely able to avoid Lichtner however one Road King wasn’t as lucky. Having ridden behind him for a few photo shoots, i can’t say we’re surprised by this news. While Michael doesn’t take unnecessary risk, he does have to rely on safety equipment to do his work, which means putting his life in things that can fail. Michael, we’re glad your alright buddy.
