Well, we’ve gotten through “tear-down” on the BMW “Cruiser to Bagger” project. Have to say the builders at BMW know how to build a bike. Not only is the craftsmanship superb, but the mechanical aspects are very impressive.
So the first thing to tackle is the swing-arm and drive shaft assembly. We’re extending the swing-arm 4″ overall and widening to accommodate a substantially larger wheel (20″) and tire combination. Also having to reconfigure the drive-shaft setup to get around the wheel/tire combo, so am sure these renderings will change once we start actually fabricating. In conjunction to this part, we’re doing the math on the new triple-tree as they will be another major portion of the raked profile. A major off-set pair is in store for sure. So stay tuned!
